Small Groups

E-mail Print PDF

From the beginning, early churches met together in large groups for corporate worship. Small groups have an important place in the life of a church.  (Acts 5:42) reminds us that the Apostles never stopped teaching as they taught and made disciples.

People, met together in their homes to break bread and provided spiritual and emotional support to members through meaningful Christian fellowship, including worshipping the Lord, sharing with and praying for one another, so that each member may be encouraged and find joy in their walk with God and to nurture members as disciples of Christ, by regularly studying and applying God's Word to their lives, so that they may develop a solid biblical foundation for daily living.

Furthermore, the small group also shares the gospel with neighbours and helps new believers grow and be integrated into the body of Christ, so that each member is equipped and ready to fulfil the Great Commission.

FMC small groups meet weekly, fortnightly or once a month in worshippers' / members' homes or in church.  The make up of individual groups varies from youth and young adults, married couples, families, to groups with special interests.  These groups meet to study a variety of bible study material.  Sometimes they invite lay leaders to conduct a series of book studies over a number of weeks.  If you and your family would like to be part of a small group, please feel free to approach any of the pastors or FMC members for more information on the timing, location, and frequency of these meetings.
